Why Watercolor?

Watercolor has always been my medium of choice for animals. It flows, breathes, and responds in real-time, echoing the natural spontaneity of the animal world.

That doesn’t mean it’s loose or chaotic—at least not in my latest work. My current style is more refined and deliberate, using clean lines and intentional color to build structure while still preserving the natural softness and light inherent in watercolor. The result is a painting that feels grounded and alive—rich in detail, yet emotionally open.
