Inspired by the extraordinary photograph captured by the Artemis II crew as they flew around the Moon in April 2026, this painting depicts Earth rising above the lunar surface. When I first saw the image, I was struck by an overwhelming sense of awe at the beauty and scale of our universe. I painted this piece as a reflection of that feeling—and of the remarkable little world we call home.
