I’ve been fascinated by space for as long as I can remember, but my interest in the cosmos goes deeper than simply wanting to see distant planets and galaxies. I’m drawn to the mystery of it—the things we don’t know and may never fully understand. I find myself coming back again and again to the same questions: Why are we here? What is the purpose of all of this? What is the true nature of reality?

I don’t approach those questions as a physicist, but from a more personal and philosophical perspective. When I paint the moon, a distant planet, or a field of stars, I feel like I’m getting just a little closer to something I can’t quite put into words. I know a painting can’t answer those questions, but painting gives me a way to explore them—and to share that sense of wonder with anyone who looks at the work.
